Surviving Life's Tsunami's...

Nine months ago today, at 2am in the morning, my wife woke me alerting me her water had broken. A few short hours later I was holding my beautiful son in my arms. That night marked the beginning of what has become the most challenging year of my life - personally, dealing with fatherhood and the fall-out of Matt's cancer (click here to go to his blog); professionally, as my workload has increased beyond anything I thought imaginable - pushing me to the brink on many occasions; and as a husband, trying to support Kristin through the significant challenges of her program (which is now fittingly over at exactly Cale's 9 month b-day - congrats Kristin!). There have been more sleepless nights than I care to remember, and emotional roller coasters with literally the highest highs and lowest lows.

This year has been a Tsunami of emotion and challenges. So what do you do when life brings a Tsunami your way? Follow Cale's lead - get butt naked and enjoy the ride...

  1. (This is actually Becky, not Brian.)What a beautiful family! Cale is just gorgeous. Funny how highs and lows in life seem to come together. I suppose it is that "opposition in all things" truth. Congratulations to Kristin, HURRAY!!! Much love from Louisville.
